Attendance

School opens at 8.45am. All children are expected to be in school by 8.55am. Children arriving after 8:55am should notify the office of their late arrival so they can be registered. Any child who arrives after this time will be marked late. In case of illness the Academy should be contacted by 9.30am by telephone, a personal visit.

Children whose attendance falls below 95% will receive a warning letter. Children who are below 90% are persistent absentees and parents will be asked to attend a Early Intervention Support meeting. If attendance does not improve over a 6 week monitoring period a Fast Track process for fining may be invoked. 

No holidays can be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances. Families taking holidays will incur a fine from the County Council.
